Well, 2020 has certainly been a year like no other so it was no surprise when a 100 mile an hour wind tore out trees, ripped roofs off buildings, and brought down power poles. This has been a year of the weird and unexpected for sure. The first pandemic in 100 years, an earthquake, and temperatures that broke records on both the warm and cold sides of the thermometer. We are into the 9th month this year, and hopefully the windstorm was the worst we will have for the rest of the year. Maybe by the end of the year we will even have a COVID19 vaccination.
We had a different, but awesome recital the first part of August, and we were grateful to be able to do that. Hopefully by next year we will be back to a full production. On the fun side of things, we are back at the studio and going strong. We have made contingencies for Covid19 at our studio, including a lot of cleaning and sanitizing and keeping the kids 6 ft apart and socially distanced. The parents have been incredible in helping with all this! We have gone back to allowing parents to wait in the lobby for their children, as long as they wear a mask and social distance. That way parents can watch their children dance on our front TV screen.
In September, if you sign up now for classes, we are offering $20 off for the first month. That is the best deal we have ever offered and are excited to see many of our last year students take advantage of this special. Just use coupon code FLASH when you sign up online. We have a talented new tap teacher, Eddie Hoyt, who is doing a lot of fun things for our tap program. Or take advantage of our all boys Hip Hop class with our Hip Hop teacher Brooklyn. The kids really love her, she is so spontaneous and fun.
In the meantime, stay safe, stay healthy and come dance, dance, dance.
